Straight Forward

Been using Turbo Tax for many, many years. They've really got their act together. This was the easiest return to do by far.

worked as prior years, Turbo Tax has improved over the years I have used it, and I return each year.
the Deluxe version incl FED e-file but not State
I pay extra for this version and the State efiling should be included.

Plusses and minuses

I have used Turbo Tax for a long time and I have to say this year was the most frustrating one. Navigation was more difficult, and there was no way to fix a weird form error, though I was able to override it. Someone needs to fix the glitches in this program that throws in an extra form with no way to access, find or delete it. I really depend on Turbo Tax because they have always been so reliable.
What's great about it: Fairly easy to use, but not as much as previous versions.
What's not so great: Weird form shows up and can't be found or deleted.

Simple Tax Returns This year

I came back to Turbo Tax this year and found my simple tax returns easy to fill out and file. I simply don't have the brain power to fill out the forms by hand anymore and last year's use of Tax Act was underwhelming.
So, am cautiously optimistic that I can continue with Turbo Tax next year.

Easy, easy, easy....did i mention that it's easy. Complicaated situations with moves and multiple mortgages are a piece of cake.

For the most part clear, easily transferred from last years information.
What's great about it: Mostly straight forward.
What's not so great: Some unclear parts (ex. 1099-G -not matching for clearly)

Bring Back Previous Year

Before entering this years stuff, have a way to show last years or previous years. Not just the total but for every entry
What's great about it: Lets you know what you did last year
What's not so great: Bring up last year & previous years before entering this year
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion), I bought or sold investments

Steep initial learning curve
What's great about it: Accurate and complete filing
What's not so great: Learning curve of the program was a bit steep to start but improved as I continued through the program
