I have used the Turbotax download for years and I find it easy to use. Please do not discontinue availability of the downloaded version. I do not want to process my tax returns on line. Thanks.

If there are few life event changes, the prior year history is a guide for being on track and collecting what you need each year. If you try to understand a new rule or term, the Help is at hand or online.
What's great about it: Everything is in1 place, easy import, can save and exit any time
What's not so great: Have to dig in Help and understand the explanation

Just OK

Each year in an attempt to upgrade Turbo Tax, it becomes MORE COMPLICATED to navigate and to return to certain forms without beginning all over again. It is impossible to edit something after you have left the section and have proceeded to the next. It is so frustrating. What would normalyl take 2 hours to complete, took me over 8 hours. My Federal return produced 34 pages which has to be filed and 3 pages for my state return. Then printing my saved returns to keep for my personal files went way beyond those figures. We are normal retirees but our return reads like a company return. Very discouraging.
What's great about it: Provides necessary forms
What's not so great: Difficult to navigate

Almost makes taxes bearable

Easy to use. the human interface keeps getting better. Some of the drill downs provide good insight.
What's great about it: Import last years data, import 1099's
What's not so great: none - other than having to pay taxes

taxes are impossible

There is no way I could do my taxes myself were it not for TurboTax. I've used it for years and will continue to do so. The program is written for those of us who don't understand schedules, attachments, and forms.
What's great about it: I don't need to understand what I'm doing.
What's not so great: I have one unusual 1099 for which forced choices not appropriate.

confusion between online turbo tax and CD turbotax

I purchased turbo tax locally, and then went online and prepared my taxes. At the end of the online preparation, turbo tax required payment. I could not understand the problem as I had already paid for turbo tax. I tried to find the code I needed to bypass payment but it was no where on the disc or on the package. In fact I drove back to where I had bought the disc (an hour's round trip), returned it as defective and bought another one. FINALLY, after almost a month of confusion I was informed last night that since I had the disc I was not to go online to prepare the taxes. This mistake may be obvious to most but it was not obvious to a computer novice such as me.
