Disappointed

For the last three years, the updates for a purchased CD would not load without calling Intuit for technical support. Using MAC OS 10.11.2
What's great about it: Subjects well defined
What's not so great: Not able to download update (many attempts)

Great program

I've tried TaxAct in the past but I find that TurboTax is much easier and user friendly. I plan to stick with TurboTax.
What's great about it: Easy filing. Walks through every step.
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

There were some sections where a number of things were listed the last one being something like "none of the above". That format in more areas would have avoided my complaint above.
What's great about it: recapture of last year's info; clarity of instructions
What's not so great: need to answer numerous items when one question could have avoided that

Easiest Turbo Tax to Date

This has to be the best year ever for doing our taxes. I have done our taxes since being audited when H & R Block did our taxes many, many, many years ago. Far and away this was the fastest and most pleasant tax return I have ever done. Had I known how easy and fast it was going to be I would have started Feb 1 rather than waiting until March.
What's great about it: Loved that is was so much faster this year
What's not so great: Need to add more companies to W2 import information

2015 Tax Expeerience with Turbo Tax

Once the slow loading is done it is easy to get into and get the job done. Finding additional information, I had to update several times and never had a problem finding where I needed to be.
On the other hand, medical expenses were asked for in dribbles and drabs, when both my wife and I had come up with the final number before we got there, so we had to back track our combined efforts to enter everything.
What's great about it: Imported data from previous software
What's not so great: Slow to load, wants to check for updates every time it is opened, even on the same day!
Pros: I bought or sold investments

Good, could use some polish

Overall I would recommend TTax - saves quite a bit of time especially with the use of It'sDeductible online. Still a few step-by-step areas that seem to forget what you chose the prior year and I always wonder if my carryovers will be remembered - specifically investment interest carry forward - would be nice if it gave a summary of what it remembered from last year (imported from prior year return).
What's great about it: Much of the return process is automated
What's not so great: Some of the simple stuff still gets forgotten - stepping through IRA info, etc.

Ten year success!!

Once the AGI is figured I would like to know $$amount needed to file with deductibles.
Takes hours to get medical & contributions together only to find out that I should take the standard deduction.
