Simple enough for Old Folks

Have been using TurboTax for many years and it just gets better and simpler, similar to my mind which gets older and smaller :-)

What's great about it: Simple instructions, easy to follow, and very thorough coverage of the tax codes.
What's not so great: Non that I can think of.

Super Easy

Since I have used TurboTax the past 5 years, all the needed info is available at the outset. For me, it's just a matter of changing the amounts. It took less than 11/2 hours start to finish.
What's not so great: Would be helpful to be able to see last years amounts for each catagory before entering this years amounts.

So worth the time saving!

I occasionally work as a consultant (I received a 1099 for it)and use my personal vehicle to get there. Turbo Tax makes it difficult for me to just take the standard millage deduction and requires me to put in my vehicle "inservice" etc. Is there a way to guide to just placing the standard millage deduction.
What's great about it: So difficult to get through other/additional state returns on paper well worth the $$ to get the extra state return

Recommended Improvement in TurboTax

Checking entries in TurboTax that are taken from original 1099s takes significantly longer than it would if TurboTax allowed alphabetization of entries.
What's great about it: Relatively easy to use and excellent service when it isn't.
What's not so great: Program does not permit alphabetizing lists of charities or lists of dividend paying stocks or interest paying banks.
Pros: I bought or sold investments

Been using TurboTax for years and will continue to do so because it's easy to use and accurate.
What's great about it: Straightforward, easy to understand questions
What's not so great: Had some difficulty import last years info
