Easy

I used TurboTax for 21 years until last year when I switched to H&R Block program because of the Problems I was reading with TurboTax for 2014.
I did not like the H&R Block program as it was not as informative when putting your information in.
Switched back to TurboTax this year and the program is even better with detailed answers when clicking info buttons for more detailed explanations.
What's great about it: Step by Step process covering everything
What's not so great: N/A
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

easy to use always there to help if you have to call they take your number and call you back. no waiting on hold no bad music just a few minutes and they called right back to solve a small billing problem with state return

good program for original return

Amended returns should be as simple as entering the corrections. Does not seem to work very well when working on amended returns.
What's great about it: easy to work with when filing the original returns
What's not so great: Very difficult to work with on amended returns

Hidden fees

I liked how easy it was to navigate; however, I didn't like having to pay extra in order to e-fail. It would have overall been cheaper to use an accountant.
What's great about it: Very easy to fill out
What's not so great: I paid for the program, and have to pay again for e-file

Saved me sooo much money!

We used to pay a tax preparer to do this. And then I found out that he wasn't getting us all the deductions to which we were entitled. The step-by-step walk thrus are a huge help.
What's great about it: Much cheaper than my previous accountant - and more accurate!
What's not so great: Hmmmmm . . . . nothing comes to mind!

Ok if your taxes are not too involved.
What's great about it: Relatively easy
What's not so great: Too expensive. Can't print individual screen pages.

over all like the product. couldn't load my state return but followed the fix it instructions and got my ny return
