Had trouble with the window that asks if you want to allow access to your keychain. I denied access and it froze, and I had to "force quit" the Turbo Tax program. I could not make Turbo Tax import my last year's tax return which was on my machine.

It's getting better all the time

I have used TurboTax for several years and it seems to get easier to use every year. Downloading the brokerage data into Turbo saved a lot of time for me. I also appreciate the ability to save copies in Adobe, so I don't have to generate lots of paper documents.

I'm very pleased with the entire process for doing my taxes. Tell you the truth, I still have a flip phone that I'm still trying to figure out how to work! LOL!!! And that's the truth!

Turbotax Deluxe 2016

I have used TurboTax for many years. I have tried the other competitors like in 2013 when H&R Block allowed me to use their product 100% free. It was OK but it didn't have the feel of quality like TurboTax. This is a bit stressful time doing your taxes but TurboTax walks with you step by step. You can stop for a day and then pick it up again where you left off. I usually do two days, the first day go through it, and on the second day I go back through very slowly making sure I have put in everything correctly. I like the checking TurboTax does so you have confidence when you finally submit your return. In a matter of minutes the Federal return was accepted. Another year done! Thanks TurboTax.
What's great about it: I always felt confident using Turbotax
What's not so great: I want the option to import last years information with all data filled in for income forms W-2s 1099s etc.
Pros: I bought or sold investments

Above and Beyond

My Mac had an old OS and would not support TurboTax, so I used the phone ap. A while later, I had my computer updated and called Tech Support to see if I could transfer it. They gladly allowed me to download the computer version of TurboTax Deluxe, at no extra cost.
I also had a question while doing my state taxes and they answered it right away.
Additionally, I like their call-back feature. I didn't have to stay on hold forever. They kept me in the queue and called me back when it was my turn.
What's great about it: Great phone support

Frustrating pathway.

While filling in information, I used the deceased status for my mothers return. Nowhere to my knowledge does the program inform the preparer that it is necessary to mail in the forms, not e-file. After many attempts to e-file with correct info entered I still got rejected three times by the Fed Gov.Going back and changing and re-entering info only leads to rejection again. Fed Gov finally just said that because with them she was listed as deceased to just mail it. Turbo tax failed to direct that solution.
What's great about it: Basicly a good product, easy to use.
What's not so great: Bad path to filing in my case
