Best experience ever

I've used TurboTax for years and hands down, this was the best experience ever. I used the Deluxe edition and it handled my taxes easily and quickly. If doing taxes can be called a pleasure, it's because TurboTax is such a user-friendly product.
What's great about it: Easy to use, fast.

Another Successful and Easy Filing with TurboTax

I have been using TurboTax for over 14 years now and I have been completely satisfied every year. A couple of times during these years, I even took my return to a friend who is a CPA and had them double check my results.
He was totally amazed at how thorough and accurate the program was.
I am a solid TurboTax customer and highly recommend it to anyone with basic computer navigation skills.
If you can surf the Internet and follow the navigation within many of the sites out there, you will not have any problem with TurboTax.

What's great about it: Easy to follow and help is always available, even with the complications of Capital Gains situations this year
What's not so great: Have not come across any issues or questions that the application could not handle
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion), I bought or sold investments

worked but....

Turbotax does the job. The main drawback is that errors cannot be corrected on the forms themselves, but have to be corrected either in easy step or on the worksheets. Better explanations of forms and rules would be useful. For example, the IRS instructions for form 8960 are 20 pp long and quite inscrutable for a highly educated person without an accounting or law background. Simple explanations of why such a form is required and its intent and loopholes would be very useful.
What's great about it: transfers information from last year. Much better than doing it longhand.
What's not so great: somewhat user unfriendly. Won't let numbers be changed on forms themselves-have to go back to a worksheet to change

Seems to get worse every year

For example: If get a 1099-Misc, it asks you "is this for work similar to what you do"? I am retired, so how do I answer that? And what does it mean if you answer yes or no?
I think they are trying to dumb it down.
State downloads would not work on my main computer. And I am a computer guy, so I know its clean and perfectly function with Win 7. Went to my wife's and it downloaded fine. No message, just hangs. Should be a manual way to pay and download.
What's great about it: It eventually gets the job done
What's not so great: Asks you bizarre questions with no explanation

Freaking Taxes

I've been using turbo tax for probably 15 years. I am a complete idiot when it comes to computers and this is so simple. LOVE IT !!!!
What's great about it: Easy for an idiot like me
What's not so great: windows 10 blocked my downloads and access to pdf files
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion), I bought or sold investments

The 2015 Deluxe software is very confusing, It constantly asks one to go back, At the finish before filing, had one heck of a time paying with credit card. Had to call Turbo Tax for help. This product is much harder to use on an annual basis than previous years. If your are not a tax consultant, be ready for a steep learning curve compared to previous years. I always choose to have TT guide me thru all sections, so I cover all bases. In future, I might just pick the sections I want.
May even consider switching to another product in 2016.
What's great about it: Has all the forms, takes you to the right place, helpful explanations
What's not so great: No Health Ques. downloaded, many backtrackes, not easy to follow
