Overall a wonderful product to have and use, thorough and easy to follow
What's great about it: easy to follow steps
What's not so great: some areas of 1099 forms confusing
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Very helpful and easy to use

This was my first year doing my own taxes. TurboTax made the process very easy. The step by step process with TurboTax took a daunting task and made it simple.
If it wasn't for the pages taking a while to load and freezing my computer a few times, it would have been a perfect rating (my computer is brand new, so I doubt it was my computer).
What's great about it: very easy step by step process
What's not so great: took a while to load a few pages and froze a couple times

Won't ever go back to an accountant

The only difficulty was figuring out which items I could claim for deductions from car taxes, but it was easy enough just to look them up on the internet. The only thing I wished for in the program is that it would ask you if anything has changed from last year to the next, such as income, taxes paid, and deductions. I think my last year's return was essentially the same with exception to the amount of those items listed.
Great program overall. Continue to do what you folks at Intuit do, and I'll be a repeating customer until my eyes give out.

This is done in the convenience of my home while dinner cooked in the oven. No stress, no lines at a tax service and no hefty price for the service!
What's great about it: User friendly with guaranteed accuracy
What's not so great: none

Makes a very stressful event as easy as possible - instructions are clear and help is plentiful. Love that you see last year's figures alongside current year- helps ensure you do not miss/forget something. I've been using this for the past 10 years and don't have a terribly complicated return, so this is the best way to power through filing my taxes. I feel very confident that my return is accurate and complete using this software.
What's great about it: Comparing last year's federal numbers with this year helps ensure you don't miss something
