Glad its over!

Not too bad and was easy to use. I finished in about 3 hours and 3 cups of coffee! and it was a LOT less expensive than having someone prepare it for us.

EASY TO USE

I have used Intuit products for over 40 years. Quickbooks was a staple in most of the small businesses I have worked. I have even used La Certe for tax prfessionals when I worked in a CPA office. Curently I use Quiken for home use and Turbo Tax every year.
Now my daughter is looking for business software and I'm telling her about Quickbooks. She has also used Turbo tax in the past.
If anyone asks me I always tell them about Turbo Tax.

I've use Turbo Tax for years. This year however, my wife did our return for the first time using Turbo Tax. Her fears were alleviated shortly after she got started. Thanks for making this difficult task relatively easy.
What's great about it: Easy to use, straight forward.

I was concerned that we would owe because I am disabled but not receiving Medicare or DSSI as of yet. I receive Long Term Disability Insurance payments for income that elevated our Tax bracket. This program showed me the law for my state that provided a credit for the tax I paid from the LTD. This saved us. I still find it hard to believe that some younger folks who pay maybe 1/4th the taxes we pay and get back over $10,000.00 more of a refund than we. Somehow that doesn't seem right, but at least we didn't owe. Thank you!
What's great about it: Excellent assistance in finding deductions and credits!

Enjoyed using turbo tax again. I have used it for 16 years now and will continue to use it.
What's great about it: Easy step by step walk thru to make sure you maximize your return.
What's not so great: None that I could see

will need new OS next year sucks

My computer works well but is old and apple thinks it can not take new OS, so will I be forced to buy a new one to do my taxes?

You messed up last year on the Illinois return. You did not calculate the state tax correctly.
