I've used Turbo Tax for years. It's the best. I feel like I am doing it thoroughly and it allows me to review and review and review because I like to overwork everything.

Superb guidance and assistance

This year's Turbo Tax is better than it has ever been. The questions and comments are intuitive and have always led to a correct conclusion. Notes and suggestions to expand more difficult situations are always most helpful and many times make the difference between reading and phoning. Well done, TT. I just E-filed and am still amazed how you worked that out with the IRS. Thanks and keep up the great work. Rocman
What's great about it: No second-guessing or questioning entries
What's not so great: Navigation between major sections (I may have to share that!!!)

Pastor's Housing Allowance

I have used Turbo Tax for many years and line 16a & 16b are still a struggle. As soon as the figure in 16b is different from 16a your program flags it as an error. This really needs to be fixed in some way. A question related to line 16a & 16b asking of these figures will be different, or something to that effect would then prevent the error notification.
What's great about it: I like having both the step-by-step and the direct entry approaches.
What's not so great: Dealing with a pastor's housing allowance and lines 16a & 16b is still awkward.

Hard to follow Turbo Tax instructions on capturing previous years for Lump-Sum SSA entries.

TurboTax is the greatest

Couldn't have been easier

Since they fixed the issue of missing forms WITHOUT paying extra that caused the ruckus from last year, this couldn't have been easier. BEST feature is being able to import details directly into forms from financial institutions otherwise it would have been very tedious and time consuming. I'll be a customer again next year if pertinent forms are included and pricing is comparable.
What's great about it: Ease of use, extensive help for interpretations
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion), I bought or sold investments
