Easy Come, Easy Go

I have used Turbo Tax for the last 5 years! It has been easy and efficient. Will continue to use it.
My only concern was that I was not able to download all the previous years tax returns as they said. Had to re-type everything. I went to there website but it was not helpful.
What's great about it: Turbo Tax takes you through all aspects of your tax return.
What's not so great: Was not able to download all the previous years of Turbo Tax returns.

Easy and Efficient

Had previously used TurboTax as a free "gift" for being a Vanguard Flagship customer. Vanguard dropped the service (on-line) so I bought the CD version. Have to admit it took me a while to figure out how to get the previous year's filing but I finally figured it out. Maybe I missed the "how to" but it could have been easier. Once in hand, with last year's data transferred, all went smoothly. Interfaces are easy to navigate through and it only took a few hours to complete.
I couldn't find much help on the state tax deduction when buying a car from another state so I'm not positive I did that correctly but think it's OK. All in all, TurbTax remains a great product.

What's great about it: Ease of navigation, pulling financial data from Vanguard
What's not so great: Bought car in another state - still not sure if I did it right

Taxes 2015

Had all my forms in order and ready to go. Loaded the software and completed the update. Took the Guided way to insure every deduction and income was covered. Always find it easy to use and if I have a question, click the link and get my answer. I always feel good with no worries, when I am done.
What's great about it: Easy to use, helpful info, no rushing, get it done right!
What's not so great: No problems

In addition to constantly locking up there are too many file saves required when no infomation has changed.

Like a Reliable and Familiar Friend

I've used TurboTax for more than ten years. The program is familiar to me and works for our tax needs. The largest part of tax filing is gathering the documentation but TT makes getting the information onto the right form easy. And mistakes are easily correctible.
In all my years, I've found only one TT math error caused by the system. It was actually found by the IRS, but met with an IRS rep and together we found the error quickly and resolved the situation with no penalties.
The only thing I don't like about TT is the upsell pitches made during the processing.
Will continue to use TT.

What's great about it: Familiar, Detailed, Helpful.
What's not so great: Some topical areas have language that isn't intuitive.
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Never Had to Leave Home!

I have used TurboTax for many years, I hate doing the taxes. However, using this software makes it bearable!

Still too cumbersome to get around

Too many steps to go through, many of which are Turbo Tax ads.
What's great about it: makes e-filing easy
What's not so great: too cumbersome to get back to cany forms to review them after I am done
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)
