2015 Return and E-file

Have used TurboTax for many years. Thus far no issue with IRS. There is a question, however, not sure working with a live tax prep personm would be an advantage or disadvantage for a larger refund.
What's great about it: Easy to use and relatively simple to navigate the different request for information
What's not so great: Had issues with signing in for State Return e-file payment. Ultimately had to setup a new account.

TurboTax has been the best product with regard to Tax Preparation....done it by hand for years and have been using this product for the last 12 yrs and wish it had been around for the first 20yrs.
What's great about it: Very User Friendly
What's not so great: None
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

A Few Snags

I was unaware that Windows XP was not going to be supported partly this year and not at all next year. I was very disappointed by this news. I should not have been surprised seeing as Microsoft no longer provides updates or support for XP either. The only problem I encountered that was troublesome was not being able to access the pull-down menus at the top. That made using the calculator impossible. There were also a few times when the program would very briefly show a window and skip right onto the next window. In most cases, I was able to go back to the skipped window.
I guess it was my own fault that I had to deal with these glitches because I have not upgraded my Windows program.
I have continued using TurboTax since its beginning because it is as comfortable to use as an old friend.

OK to use,

A flow Chart of what is going to transpire before you start entering the income data would be a nice feature. As a retiree I do not get W-2's, but rather get Social Security forms. Knowing that the information from those forms will be entered later in the process would prevent confusion as to where the information will be entered.before one starts.

Quicken and TurboTax work great together

Quicken and TurboTax don't let you forget the important tax requirements.
What's great about it: ItsDeductible, Quicken and TurboTax save lots of time
