Great Way To File!

I've been using Turbo Tax to file my taxes for 10 years now, and very much trust it 100%. It's also great to have the option of electronic filing of both federal and state returns. My only wish is that Turbo Tax would start offering free State filing as well, along with their free Federal e-filing..

So Simple

This is my first year filling my taxes on my own, turbo tax walks you through it without any problems at all. It took me about 40 min. I will definitely be using this method from now on.

Best Customer Service

I had questions about the amount of return because the summary gave an amount different from the amount to be refunded. I contact customer service and the young lady stayed with me until she got the answer to my problem (almost an hour). I am extremely satisfied with Turbo Tax; 8 years and counting.
What's great about it: Easy to Use
What's not so great: Have to dig for contact telephone number

Turbo Tax is the "standard" for the IRS and as long as you're honest with it, you shouldn't run into any troubles!

Turbo Decline in Quality

I have used TurboTax since they started. The 2015 version is a retreat in quality and very annoying. There was several items that I had to go dig out of last years state tax returns and enter manually. For some reason, these items wouldn't transfer even though they were entered in TurboTax last year, on my current laptop.
Speed: This year's TT is very slow. I have a smokin fast laptop and internet connection. The updates every time you start the program take minutes....several. And while in the program sometimes you click a button and wonder....is it going to do anything or should I click it again. Unacceptable. I am not certain if I will purchase next year. I'm going to take a hard look at the competition first.
What's great about it: Record keeping and electronic filing
What's not so great: Does not transfer or get all data from last year's taxes
