I like the step by step process, thought in past that when I left program in middle I would automatically come back where I left it, but no big issue there.
What's great about it: ease of following directions
What's not so great: IRS rules & regs - you can't help that

HAD AN ISSUE LAST YEAR WITH BEING ABLE TO PRINT MY RETURN. MUCH BETTER THIS YEAR. FASTER ALSO. LESS THAN TWO HOURS TO COMPLETE BOTH FEDERAL AND STATE RETURN.
What's great about it: MUCH FASTER THAN 2014. NO PROBLEMS

Great Software

I was grateful to find that TurboTax Deluxe version has Schedule D included again which took care of my needs. The software continues to improve with the questions and sidebars for help. It makes tax preparation much faster and more efficient. I don't know why anyone would have to pay a tax service to prepare their return, unless they had one that was extremely complex.
The "It's Deductible" online import utility program is excellent for keeping track of charitable donations, mileage, etc. and I LOVE the fact that I can import all the investment tax forms from my bank through Turbo Tax. It all works seamlessly and greatly simplifies the whole process.
What's great about it: Schedule D is included again in the Deluxe version. Also I like the "It's Deductible" utility program.
What's not so great: None

turbo tax

I liked that turbo tax had a link to go to to find out more info as I got a 1099 misc and wasn't sure how to answer the questions but the answer on the help walked me exactly through how to answer all questions asked in that piece. I also like that if there are qualifiers for that section it tells you whether you should even start doing things there. I like turbo tax myself have been using for 10 years.
What's great about it: easy to e-file
What's not so great: some tax laws are confusing

More than 15 years straight

It can be scary doing your own taxes and not being a tax or accountant professional. I've been using Turbotax for over 15 years and the intimidating tax returns get easier each year and it has saved me thousands of $ in that time. When I encounter a "new" tax situation, their help and FAQ section usually takes care of it quickly. This year, questions answered by other users helped me out. One thing I would like to see added, #unless it there and I don't see it#, is instant feedback. I don't usually do my taxes all in one sitting and if I run into a concern or get confused about how Turbotax operated or asked a question, I forget what section I was in with the concern or forget about it altogether by the time I complete my taxes.
What's great about it: Easy, just answer questions, comprehensive, help section is effective
What's not so great: No way to provide instant feedback
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

I've used Turbo Tax for many years. I like that it can transfer information from the previous tax year so I only enter information that changed. It is very easy to use and I would recommend it to others. It provides helpful tips for those who are required to pay in preparation to lower tax due payments for the next year. Thank you.
