Very simple process for the whole family

I have used TurboTax for many years and highly recommend it. It worked great this year for my chiled/student who had enough earnings/dividends to have to file also. TurboTax made it a breeze to do her return also and also free efile her return as well as free efile my return.
What's great about it: simple and multiple returns for college student

Not the easiest

iT TOOK ME TWO DAYS TO STOP GETTING ERROR MESSAGES BECAUSE OF THE rOYALITY SECTION. eITHER i AM GETTING DUMBER OR THE INSTRUCTIONS WERE POORLY WRITTEN.
What's great about it: Usuall easy to follow
What's not so great: HAD TROUBLE UNDERSTANDING rOYALITY SECTION

everything went great until I needed a copy of my state tax to file by mail . I did not need another copy of my federal taxes other than that it was fast and easy

What's not so great: printed to many copies just to get state tax

I've used TurboTax for years, and find it easier each year. It's not just my experience, but the design is better and less tedious than in past years. I was a Programmer-Analyst in a past life, and can appreciate a good program design when I see one. Good job, TurboTax!
What's great about it: Program is simpler to use each year. Very intuitive!
What's not so great: Only the efiling gets tedious, and has little to do with Turbotax

Great Program!

Always have easy time doing taxes with this program. With 5 free federal preparations I am able to do all of family with 1 program. Needed technical support. First rep left me on hold 25 minutes with no communication, however 2nd tech (Jackson) was great!! He spent a lot of time working on problem with continuous communication until problem resolved! I will definitely continue to use Turbo Tax!!
What's great about it: Easy to follow/ user friendly
What's not so great: Problem with State download

I used H&R Block software last year....never again. Turbo Tax is user friendly and accurate. We had a problem with our filing from IRS with accuracy on the 2014 tax return using the other software. The error was a $35 increase in our return which wasn't claimed by using the H&R Block software. The error may have been partially my lack of understanding; however, the error was an incomplete filing. It was missing required Obamacare forms. The H&R Block software did not identify the error during the review process.
