EASY BREEZY

Turbo Tax is super easy. This is our 5th year using this service and we have never had a problem. It was fast, thorough, and inexpensive.

I needed to go through the state program to determine that I didn't need to file a state return. Then, when I wanted to electronically file my federal return, I had to first delete my state return. The state return would have been manual had I been required to file. So, I had to delete the form before I could electronically file my federal return.
What's great about it: well organized - asks good questions
What's not so great: awkward to delete state file

Covers many areas

I have been using TT since 2008. I have never even thought of trying another product. Some of the advantages of using TT are:-
* Previous year returns are saved with them. Helps a lot for comparison, and imports data if and when necessary(like CA state refund) * Imports w2 and other relevant documents. It saves time. Make sure you select 'Walk me through everything' for 'wages & income' and 'Deductions and Credits' section. For e.g., it led me to 'Dependent care credit' section and allowed me to get credit and lowered my tax bill. Also, after filling in all the data, s/w checks for accuracy. My return got corrected in couple of "HSA" related sections.
