Helpful, but not able to import prior year data

I have been a loyal Turbo Tax user for 10 years. This will be my last. Why do I have to pay to access a prior year return when I've always used turbo tax, either online or desktop download? I had to wipe my machine and now I don't have last years return and the only way Turbo tax forums said I could retrieve it was to pay for the online version or wait 60 days after filing a form with the IRS. Turbo tax, you could have made this process easier, and kept a customer as a result.
What's great about it: Guarantees maximum refund, e filing for federal return doesn't cost money
What's not so great: State e filing costs money in addition to state preparation software cost, not able to pull in prior year return
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

I really liked the ease of using Turbo Tax, but after all the fees I would have been able to have my taxes done at my regular preparer's for less money than what I ended up having to pay to use Turbo Tax.
What's great about it: Ease of use
What's not so great: More expensive than having tax preparer do it
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Using Turbo Tax has made my end of year taxes so simple...I don't have to worry if I have read the correct bulletin from IRS and I don't have to do any manual calculations. I recommend this product to anyone who needs to do taxes and is somewhat computer literate. It's that simple! (But you do have to read...and think...and make sure you keep and organize your documents throughout the year..it makes it much simpler)

The program was easy to install and very user friendly. When I had a problem understanding one of the forms I called and a customer service representative helped me to complete all forms. She explained each step and was helpful above and beyond my expectations. The only criticism I have is that I was preparing the tax return for someone else and I could not find a place to put my name in as the preparer.
What's great about it: Ease of use, associates are friendly, courteous, knowledgable
What's not so great: No place for other preparer to place their name

For Every Family Member

I'm a parent, so I am doing taxes for 4 family members, including education expenses. TurboTax makes my job so much easier and lots less stressful.
The biggest advantage is the automatic calculation and comparison to see whether I should file for the American Opportunity Credit or the Lifetime Learning Credit.
What's great about it: Details I might miss if not prompted. Automatic comparison of American Opportunity Credit or Lifetime Learning Credit.
What's not so great: Getting back to my Minister's Housing Allowance calculation to make changes.
