My husband died last year. I wasn't sure how to file, but Turbo Tax walked me through everything and I didn't need an accountant.

I used this for the first time filing after my divorce and TurboTax made it so easy! Walked me through it and I feel confident about the return. I posted a question which was answered within 24 hours. Very impressed and thankful. #nailed it!
What's great about it: Quick response to questions.

Mixed Bag

I realize that you have to be very detailed and complete, but some items could be done in a more summary form with references to "see details". How about something like, "Check the box yes or no if any of these items apply to you." Why make the preparer open up a new window for each and every item--some of which are very rare. I'm a CPA and I don't think using this program is easy for the average person. It is a lot easier to use Turbo Tax if you have done so in the past. Transferring data in from the previous year saves a lot of time
What's great about it: Convenient & Comprehensive
What's not so great: Some items require too much time and need to be simplified

Turbo Tax

I was able to update the forms only once - after that, I would try to update and it wouldn't load. I would have to use the task manager to quit. I thought it was my network, but I tried on multiple networks and at different times.
Not all that impressed this year with turbo tax
What's great about it: easy to use as usual
What's not so great: tax updater does not work

All told it gave me confidence in the accuracy and completeness of my return. The refund in 10 days was also welcome.

I've always been able to navigate Turbo Tax easily and have used them for years. I recommend them highly.
