2015 Taxes

My husband and I have been Turbo Tax users for over 10 years. We have saved hundreds of dollars in not using a CPA in preparing our taxes. We use the Deluxe to prepare our son's taxes and we are encouraging more family members to use Turbo Tax. Instructions are simple and we like the updates. Word of caution, be certain to save your returns on a flash drive or separate hard drive. We saved our return on our computer and it was hacked.
What's great about it: Detailed step-by-step instructions....If you can read, you can file your taxes.
What's not so great: Wished Deluxe package allows multiple state filing.

Easy to answer questions

I am very happy with the tax product. It keeps up to date so I know I have the most current information. If I read the questions and answer them correctly, my return is complete. It is really that simple. Any new terms or forms, TurboTax already has them up to date.
What's great about it: It guides you along the way and gives you hints to help. More information is only a click away.
What's not so great: None Really.

After using TurboTax for many years one starts to understand the methodology of taxes and navigating through the program becomes easier and easier.
Plugging in the previous years numbers makes the current year much quicker and easier to begin, easier to enter current information and faster to complete.

I've been using Turbo for many, many years & it's so nice to have everything filled in and all you have to do is change the dollar amounts. I use the Deluxe & when I needed a question answered that wasn't in the FAQ verity, I got to actually talk to a real person (perfect English & pleasant) in just a couple of minute. That alone was worth the price of admission.
What's great about it: Really like importing from finance companies, all info in right box
What's not so great: When you finish a section have to scroll down 4 next 1.& Hard to not print some forms (like Fed forms for State)

NEVER HAD A PROBLEM WITH THIS SOFTWARE, USED IIT FOR 4 YEARS NOW AND EVEN DO MY CO-WORKERS AND FRIENDS/FAMILY TAXES
What's great about it: EASY
What's not so great: NOTHING

lost days waiting for form1040A

I like that the questions are thorough, and you can pause and pick up right where you left off. It's convenient, that last yrs. info was saved, so that meant i didn't have to spend time filling out the standard info.
What was annoying, is that I lost a week waiting for the 1040A, so couldn't apply for my refund. The problem was, I was told that I would be e-mailed when I could file my taxes. BUT never was sent one. . . then after searching for answers, finally, found out that the forms had been available for weeks, and that I had to do a couple of steps because it just wasn't updated automatically, as it has been in the past.
What was annoying, is that I lost a week waiting for the 1040A, so couldn't apply for my refund. The problem was, I was told that I would be e-mailed when I could file my taxes.
