It's better when the keyboard is working properly

I'm 74 and like to print and mail my returns, but since the printer is dead, thought I'd try e-filing and for me it was a REAL hassel. Hope I never have to do that again. The getting the return was a breeze in comparaison.
What's great about it: Good step-by-step process
What's not so great: accessing my account to pay was the pits

2015 TAXES

Wasn't sure if Turbo Tax was linked to the South Carolina web site to pay tax due, or if I was suppose to go to the South Carolina web site to pay the tax due.
What's great about it: Liked all of the software.
What's not so great: Not sure what date format to enter when keying in date to pay tax due.

pretty easy except medical insurance

I was confused about if my medical share of company health insurance was deducted when I entered it from the 1099 or if it should be deducted later with my dental and vision insurance.
What's not so great: costs of medical insurance are not really clear especially the 1057-A

Two big pr0blems

No obvious way to save the filing in two places. When we went to e-file, it said it couldn't find the file since we had put it on a thumb drive. Not a problem in previous years.
The other problem: the filing was rejected when we entered the fiduciary's zip code. We had to enter our own zip code in order to send our tax return electronically, despite the fact that the fiduciary's address is in another state. The accurate zip code is 97205, which was deemed invalid. Not a problem in previous years.
What's great about it: Not too many confusing changes
What's not so great: 2 problem changes

No Problems, anyone should be able to use software. Its deducible is not worth the effort

My last year utilizing TT. After seven years using the program, I decided 2016 will be using an accountant...After the extra fees, there isn't really that much savings and an accountant can squeeze a better return.
