Getting less user friendly

Each year I continue to notice turbo tax is less and less user friendly. Particular items are not explained well.
Error checking leads you to the form but with little explanation
to help you understand. The step by step process should have asked the question in the 1st place( depreciating business equipment like a printer ask after the fact questions that should have been addressed earlier)

used the phone contact help for first time. Larry was very helpful and patient and we used the computer screen connect so he could help guide me. This was a wonderful tool. Thanks.
What's great about it: step by step, do in privacy of own home and in own time, can save and do at different times
What's not so great: some parts confusing
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Turbo Refund

I've used Turbo Tax for the past few years and like the features. It makes you feel confident with the experience, this isn't rocket science but it can be confusing what with all the forms the IRS has, but with this product you can maneuver efficiently and walk away from it and return whenever the time is better, like taking a commercial break from TV, everything is saved for you and is not finished until you say it's finished. It has a good backup plan and covers more than I can think of in some situations, as well as common sense features, all and all I find that it's better than having someone else do my taxes, because I know me best!
What's great about it: Quick, easy to follow inst. and thorough.
What's not so great: Not all inclusive, added prices to e-file state etc.

Great as always

As always, TurboTax provided a thorough, extensive and easy process to review and file our Federal and State taxes. Aside from the somewhat tiny font in the extended help windows everything was clear and concise! We plan on using TurboTax for the foreseeable future.
What's great about it: Quick and easy but still detailed

Great Software

If you have a Qualified Pension that doesn't require a MRD, it confused me as to how to continue. I didn't see a penalty, therefore I assume it all turned out ok in the end, but it caused me to have to make a couple of phone calls.
Other than that, Great! I've been using TurboTax for many years and it makes the tax season semi-pleasant.
What's great about it: Very Comprehensive
What's not so great: Confusing Qualified vs Non-Qualified Pensions

There were some questions on Auto Personal Property tax as to where to enter this, Not under boats, planes, mobile homes. Should be a heading for Auto Personal Property tax.
Also more guidance when you have multiple homes.

Overall, I like Turbo Tax but there are some areas that could be easier. the interest area is not as easy to enter tax exempt interest as in past years.
What's great about it: simple to follow
What's not so great: difficult to add tax exempt interest this year

I have used Turbotax since 2008 and have been very satisfied every year. Once you have used it your personal information will be imported into the next year. Saves time by letting you select and compare categories from previous year or to add new or eliminate unused. The format will lead you by the hand through all phases of the process making it very easy to follow. When questions do arise additional explanations are available. I will continue to use Turbotax as long as I am able to file on my own.
What's great about it: Easy to use Thorough Can cover both Federal and State
What's not so great: None found
