Overall I use Turbo tax every year to do my taxes because it is a lot easy to do than using other tax software. I like that it lets you know if you are at low or high risk of being audited.
What's great about it: Can do my taxes and feel my information is safe.
What's not so great: The time it took to download

Did not realize State prep was not included

Why would someone buy just federal return prep without state? I just made a mistake in what I bought and did not realize it until I had a Federal return prepared. Too bad for me.

I've used Turbo Tax for many years and always am pleased at the ease of using. However, next year I may have to try another software instead of Turbo Tax because my windows XP won't support it. Any ideas of how to upgrade the hardware so I can continue using???

Faster because it has become familiar

It always takes longer to file my taxes than I would like, but it only takes a quick glance at "forms" to make me realize how much your product has streamlined the process from the "old days". Thank you.
What's great about it: Relatively easy to navigate, organized in logical fashion, leaves me feeling confident that I understood what I entered
What's not so great: Would to nice to be able to occasionally print a screen without the hassle of taking a screen shot...

Been using turbo tax for decades and it has always been great...today it is much better than the original that was DOS based, not mouse driven, and had to feed blank forms into a dot matrix printer...now life is good!

I will continue to use TurboTax as long as I am able to do this by myself. The cost is small when compared to the time the software has saved for me.
What's great about it: I was able o simply work through sale of an investment, including a link to the pertinent IRS publication.
What's not so great: I have found none.
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion), I bought or sold investments

I could not eFile my return because the program would not go to the "Pay" screen for me to process my State Return portion and it would not let me just eFile the Federal alone. Due to this issue, I had to mail my Federal return and now wait 4-6 weeks for my refund.
First year I had this problem.
Same thing happened to my son when he attempted to eFile.
