I have used this product for 15 years and I was not anticipating a problem this year. I have always had a good experience so I had no clue when trouble started. I could not download updates. I finally called "support" and after an hour of patience on the technician's side and mine, we got to the bottom of the issue. Make sure you purchase the labeled disc for Windows only if you have a windows because windows is very picky.
What's great about it: Support person was GREAT!
What's not so great: The fact that I was not informed of the difference in product type. I was not aware how sensitive the discs were or were

The quickest and easiest return yet. I have been using TURBOTAX for many years and everything went well. I didn't itemize this year and I took the standard deduction. I started to itemize last year and ended taking the standard deduction after tracking and itemizing deductions. It would be useful to have a short and quick algorithm to use before going through all that work. Thank You, Frank

Over all, it worked pretty well. The one annoying thing was that I had to keep scrolling to the bottom of the page by a few clicks to get to the "continue" button to get to the next page

Too many forms

Entered home mortgage interest from 1098's.
Entered property (real estate taxes) in step-by-step.
In reviewing forms and worksheets, saw that the Home Interest worksheet needed to be linked to a Form 1098. This is unnecessary. You should ask for all required info for both mortgage interest and real estate taxes in the step-by-step process and auto create the worksheets.

You should stop trying to add new bells and whistles every year. You are over-complicating it.
What's great about it: Step-by-step approach, tx forms and calculations are fine.
What's not so great: Home Interest worksheets and linking to Forms 1098 Confusing

Still A Great Product... One Exception

I've been using T Tax forever. Would have to check, but possible I started around 1996, and every year since.
I have always liked and trusted this product.
For the first time ever, I had a terrible time installing the software. I'm a retired IT guy, systems analyst, 30 years in the computing industry. IBM systems software analyst. Have been using, building, and working with PCs since they were invented.
Point being, I know what I'm doing when installing, updating, removing, and using software packages. I'm running Windows 10 on an Alien Auora system that is kept up to date.
The 2015 T Tax installation was the most difficult package I've ever tried to install. It just wouldn't work, updates would hang requiring me to force them down. I was a little concerned about the reliability of the package due to all the installation difficulties.
However, after probably 7 separate attempts, it seemed to update correctly, and I now have completed my filings.
I will continue to use and recommend this package, just sincerely hope next year goes more smoothly.
What's great about it: Easy to Use, Very Accurate
What's not so great: 2015 Installation was HORRIBLE

Made it Simple!

I had a tax return this year that I honestly thought I'd have to have an account help me with. I decided to give Turbo Tax Deluxe a shot first to save money and I was actually able to do it myself! Thanks for saving me money!
What's great about it: I had a difficult return this year with lots of odd things and I was able to have Turbo Tax walk me through and do it!
What's not so great: Nothing!
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion), I bought or sold investments
