Love Turbo Tax!

We have used Turbo Tax for years and love how easy it is to use; this year I am especially appreciative since we had a very complicated financial year and I also had to help my elderly parents with their tax return. I recommend Turbo Tax to all of my family & friends.
Pros: I bought or sold investments

Nice features of being able to switch back and forth between just answering questions to complete entries or opening forms to see where entries are going. Nice look up features to allow you to find out where some of the numbers entered came from. Even though I was receiving my deductions by itemizing, in the comparison between years summary while making entries, it showed I was getting the standard deduction.
What's great about it: Supplies nice summaries and comparisons to prior years
What's not so great: sometimes summaries while entering data are misleading
Pros: I bought or sold investments

I will not buy intuit products with a credit card. Intuit uses that to automaticly renew. They try to trick you into buying more product.
What's great about it: decent program
What's not so great: charging for state efile

Confused

Received lump sum disability payment in 2015 and part of it was for 2014. Entered all the figures but it didn't tell me if I needed to file an amended return for the 2014 portion or if the taxes we owe this year covers anything for 2014.
What's great about it: The way it walked me through almost everything.
What's not so great: Didn't let me know if I had to file 1040X for 2014
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

I love how easy it is... I could not bring forward all information from last year because I used the internet version for the first time. So I tried to go to two years ago and it would not recognize. This would help with names addresses birthdates etc.... other than that had a wonderful experience with TT
What's great about it: easy and straight forward
What's not so great: cannot bring in 2013 or internet version

The only problem I had was getting back to certain spots to change the amounts. I had entered less medical expenses then I should have and could not figure out how to get back to that particular page.
What's great about it: Ease of use
