Good Experience

The questions were detailed and were well explained. I do wish I was able to access an account electronically where I could store my documents that I know I would use for my taxes later on.
What's great about it: Detailed questions
What's not so great: Retrieving documents
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Fast and Easy!

Explanations are clear and simple, it was easy to check for extra help when I thought something might apply to me (moving expenses only apply while still working, not when you retire!)
What's great about it: Walked me thru, step by step. Explanations in plain English.

un CLEAR product pricing

Use TT for many years now, pretty sure previous years had 1 state filing as part of Deluxe version. Gripe #1, one tiny asterisk on the back side to denote the charge for state efile. At least put the asterisk on the front side. Can't make a good buying decision without knowing the facts. And yes I am a dumb ... for being so trusting. Gripe #2, having to use a cc to pay for the state efile. Why not just tack on the price to the purchase price, it's just so annoying to have to dig around for a cc to efile - defeats the convenience of efiling. Create a Deluxe + version! Have to reconsider using TT next year.

Upgrade to 1099 Sucks

If a filer is only entering amounts from 1099's, than the filer shouldn't have to upgrade from Deluxe. If there are business expenses, etc. than YES, but NOT just to enter AMOUNTS. Fortunately, after several clicks I was able just to enter amounts, but not happy that I had to do it.!!!!

I have used turbotax for many years, filling returns for myself and other family members. The returns are very easy to use and the information provided is substantial. I don't know why anyone would use any other tools for tax returns.
What's great about it: very easy to follow, great to be able to import previous returns, good explanations
What's not so great: cumbersome in unusual situations, difficult to override
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion), I bought or sold investments

I've been using TURBOTAX for more than 16 years now and have never had anything but the best of experiences with their products and customer service. I will be a TURBOTAX customer forever!
What's great about it: easy to use and trustworthy
