Didn't import my previous TT tax form correctly. This caused it to refuse to apply any dependent deductions. No way to see why unless you run final tax check. It then flagged what was missing. dependent daughter's date of birth....
What's great about it: Quick
What's not so great: Not always intitutive when TT states not eligible for credit

Looking out for me

I was contacted when my account looked a little off, more than one in my name. They contacted the IRS when they saw someone filed a returned under my name and social plus they sent me an email detailing what I needed to do.
In the past when I received a letter from the IRS they took care of it plus found more deductions for me! A company made an error so they went to the company and corrected it for me with them and the IRS.
What's great about it: They know when something isn't right and then contact me right away.
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

I remember when I first tried turbo tax about 5-6 years ago and it was branded as easy but was pretty tough if you're not too familiar with taxes or good with key words in the questions it asks of you. So after that year, I never used it again until now! And let me tell you, it is SUPER easy now! Everything is basically electronically done for you. If you employer uses a website (one that tracks your time and paychecks) that is connected with turbo tax, then you can just have your W-2's transferred over and then most of the work is done for you. The rest is basically review. IF you're choosing the Deluxe edition for itemizing then you have a few more steps but the website walks you through each step. Glad I chose to try it again. I'll definitely continue to use Turbo Tax in the future. Thank you Intuit.

Empty nest but college students

This is the perfect tool for Teachers with children in college. I had a few questions and the answers were easily found. I guess it makes since college room and board are not deductible, I would feed and house them if they were still home.
What's great about it: Easy, answers to all questions easy to find
