Some issues

It was very slow to upgrade. Also, the identification protection PIN would not print on the 1040A form even though it was on the work sheet.
What's not so great: Slow to upgrade and wouldn't include the IPN on 1040A

LOVE Turbo Tax!

Entering Duplicate Information

This tax software should be able to get information from previously filed tax returns using the same software. Also, there were questions asked that related questions had already been answered. Ex. Do you have taxes to file for more than one state and the question of living outside of the state at any time had already been answered NO.
What's great about it: Taxes are done
What's not so great: Entering and answering questions multiple times

Quick, short ,easy questions with explanations[ if you need them]. All extremely easy to understand even if your English is limited! Corrections are rectified without trouble and you can take as much time as you like to complete your return! Great program!!

Painful experience

I understand that with each new year of your software you want to change the look and feel of the app (you remind me of Microsoft with its upgrades for no good reason), but you have to think about the folks that have used your software in the past and the confusion that you cause. Do you do any reviewing with focus groups or customers before pushing out a new release? If you add something, perhaps you should spend time ensuring that the comments or help goes along with it. Case in point was the addition of the DO NOT FILE watermark on state tax returns, forcing one to wait before printing and sending in the return. If this is required, then at least say so! If this is optional, give the information on how to get around it. Point 2 - in printing out the required forms for a state, the federal 1040 form was printed as well, i couldn't figure out why, until i saw a little blurb at the bottom of the state form that said if the first line was zero or negative, include the federal form...if you only added a line of explanation on the first page of instructions, it could have saved confusion of whether to add it (or better yet make your software smart enough to only print the 1040 form when it was actually needed).
What's great about it: covers the topics and IRS worksheets that are difficult to decipher
What's not so great: Putting watermark on state tax returns, forcing you to wait to file
