I have used and trusted TurboTax since 2004. I like the fact that doing my taxes with TurboTax reduces the time needed to chase down the necessary forms and instruction books. Then spreading everything out on the old dining room--remembering the good-old-days. and, don't forget the adding machine (with a tap) to recheck your data entries.
Good-old-days be damned--I like today and TurboTax. It's worth every penny!!

Super Software! I had first purchased H & R Block. Their software would not load right. Tried customer support, never got results.

Tolerable experience

TurboTax advised that there were some errors to fix on Schedule C, due to our 1099 Misc form, but there was no explanation for the terminology whatsoever, so completing schedule C was basically guesswork. I thought that was very poor. Apart from that, the experience was tolerable.
What's great about it: Most stuff was self explanatory
What's not so great: the support for the 1099 Misc/ schedule C form was pitiful

Tax return was easy!

TurboTax is really easy to use! The only difficulty I had was in correcting my deposits to my work retirement plan. It was a Simple IRA plan. However, I am not the owner of the small company that offered this plan and that's where turbo tax put the contributions. It took a while to find where the contributions were in order to correct the return!
What's great about it: Questions are easy to answer, seems pretty thorough, my information transfers in from Quicken
What's not so great: Had difficulty changing some imported info that went to the wrong forms

i have used this software for years now.... I just love it.... makes filing sooooo quick and easy. Will continue to use it and recommend it.
What's great about it: so easy, asked me all the pertinent questions I needed and I just answered them ... easy peesy....
What's not so great: nothing i can think of

First Time User of Turbo Tax

This was my first time to use TurboTax. I am not a person that understands taxes and have depended on a CPA for many years to assist in completing my income tax returns. After giving this serious thought, I decided to purchase the TurboTax deluxe since my wife and I have no outside income other than our full time jobs, basic bank accounts and retirement funds. No rental property or small businesses to deal with. I was directed with ease to each category and was able to complete this year's return without any problem. I had a friend that is very acknowledge with taxes and has used TurboTax for 10+ years to review and offer suggestions, as needed.. I will be using TurboTax from this point forward and realized completing the tax forms and income tax returns are really not as difficult as I made it out to be. Thank you TurboTax!!!
What's great about it: Simplified and very easy to use and understand

Turbo..Turbo Tax

I really liked this years Turbo tax, very up to date and still easy to use.
What's great about it: Very easy to use, carries you the route you need to go.
What's not so great: none
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion), I bought or sold investments
