First time filing taxes in this country :)

First time doing tax return in this country - this software + last year tax return ( prepared by somebody else) greatly helped me to finish it. I hope everything is going to be OK. Thank you.
Only 1 comment I would like to make is related to Mortgage interest not reported on Form 1098 - ( in my case it is a mortgage and bank in foreign country ) - Software was pushing me to enter a valid USA address + SSN , which is not possible. Also there is a possibility that I was supposed to use a different option / form in this software , but I got finally what I wanted printed on 1040 Final Form version - Name of the Foreign Financial institute .
The same 'result' as last year when 1040 was prepared by xxx Tax company. I hope that the same was sent out to IRS electronically.
To be save I bought Audit Defense - you never know :)

Takes less time every year!

I've done my family's taxes with TurboTax every year since about 2000. It gets easier each year to use, and the only problem I have is with finding the paperwork that gets sent to me over the course of three months (all my work/wife's work/daycare/blah blah blah).
What's great about it: Ease of use

I'd recommend this to anybody for the 1040/1040A. TurboTax made my taxes seem to be simple. Thanks so much for making life easier.
What's great about it: Very easy to use...impressive product and made my worries of tax prep go away!!!
What's not so great: I did find any as long as I did exactly what it asked and put the information in correctly.

Amended Return, here we come

I filed my daughters returns first, and claimed zero exemptions for them as I always do. Now when I file my return, I find I can't claim my older daughter anymore. So now, I have to file an amended paper return so she can get the other half of her refund. I would have hoped Turbo Tax would have asked some questions so this mistake would not have happened when I prepared her return.
What's great about it: importing data from last year
What's not so great: not enough questions apparently
