not good if passed THEIR file deadline Oct 15th

Loved Turbotax for years until my 2014 taxes. Online site shuts down October 15. You have to download file where you left off and purchase the pc software to complete. The PC software didn't know I already filed my state extension. It also doesn't know what the current date is. It lets you add the Amazon card refund option and lets you add Audit defense and gives you the e-file option. all sounds great right... WRONG. It all errors out stating e-file is closed. Audit defense closed and no Amazon card available since paper filing. The irritating thing about all the deadlines passing is that the IRS would still accept an e-file turbotax just chooses not to. its funny too, you are trying to print it and it still asks you is you want the amazon card... then error. do you want audit defense yes, then error they are closed. Its very buggy for filing past october 15th
What's great about it: still uses return that was started online but not finished by October deadline
What's not so great: still acts like you can e-file BUT you can't

Some Oopsies from TurboTax :'(

i'm late filing my taxes, so actually reviewing 2014 version during 2016. the software is easy to navigate as always, but I had some trouble when entering tax-exempt income... I needed to enter income based on which state it originated but the TT program let me enter nothing, wrong info, and correct info... good think I knew what it should have looked like! also the state version will not download for me... currently have an open ticket with intuit and hoping that gets resolved soon
What's great about it: easy to navigate
What's not so great: items entered incorrectly and not noticed, state software not downloading
Pros: I bought or sold investments

Lost my refund!

So upset
What's great about it: Can do it myself. At least last year I could
What's not so great: It imported an old address from last year and now I don't know where my refund is.
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion), I moved

slow submission

Overall completing and saving the federal and state taxes went smoothly. The only delay is when it comes to filing. The program asks to check into (or create) an Intuit account. Every year, my Intuit account has the same password, but have to change it because it doesn't remember it. Asks to verify via text, which didn't work. Finally was able to check out and file.
What's great about it: good overall completion
What's not so great: too many data questions upon filing

I've been using for several years and my w2s are from same employer every year, for the past two years I've had to input every line, in the past it remembered all the info. Also, during comparison the previous year is blank. Not too impressed this year! Will be going another route in future.
What's not so great: had to input w2s

Loved the clean look of screens and the easy to follow steps for completing both the Federal and State information. Felt like a very polite and helpful interviewer walking me thru the process. (Only thing missing was it didn't offer me a cup of coffee:-) Thank you TurboTax folks for making this product better than ever before.
What's great about it: Clear language & easy to understand instructions
What's not so great: Can NOT think of any Cons... really!

2015 turbo tax with state
on February 27, 2016

great program, easy to use, liked the help info for greater detail on certain sections, like the fact can save pdf file of returns so don't need old programs to load back up again if audit questions, like the double checks and info about audit potential
dislike - have to go back and print state return. I get more forms printed than needed (wasted paper). Would be nice if can print one more state only section when printing final copies.
also -- on print out got a copy of old school loan (sallie mae) which i had paid off several years ago. I noticed nothing to not print this form while entering tax data.
What's great about it: easy to use, quick,
What's not so great: had to print state separately
