Handled all my taxes, Mine are medium complexity including self employment. Handles estimated taxes which are easy to update later in the year. Can easily switch from step by step to forms. Within step by step you can have it walk thru everything or pick and choose from a list. Good help to assist in the pick and choose format.
What's great about it: easy to use, auto updates, covers all my situations
What's not so great: charges for State Efile - I don't bother

Thank you for continuing to offer this service for the cost of the CD. It is reasonable and a good option for rural users who have very expensive internet service.

TurboTax Deluxe 2015

For me TurboTax has always been helpful in terms of being able to stop and review and "get help" understanding why certain entries are needed and what they mean.
What's great about it: Step-by-Step review of all entries needed.
What's not so great: Somewhat more time-consuming using step-by-step method.
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

I have used Turbotax for the past 16 years, and I have never been disappointed. Very thorough and I have always received a nice refund. This year however i filed married / separate and my refund was cut in half. Such is being married. :-)

I loved how easy this was to use. Being a first time user, it took me a while to get through all of the steps, but it helped me answer all my questions step by step. I highly recommend this product.

It's good; NOT PERFECT

When editing a previous entry, when editing is complete the screen returns to the "top" of the category, not to the point that editing was started. This causes a lot of scrolling to return to the point from which I want to continue.. VERY OBNOXOUS!!
When attempting an automatic update the updater "hung up" and would not perform the update; and required the use of TASK MANEGER to exit updater. Eventually I found the updater options, which did allow a successful update. Upon restart of TT Deluxe the program wanted to do an automatic update and, in the attempt "hung up" again. On the next TT Deluxe restart I totally ignore the automatic update and eventually was able to transmit my returns. Automatic updating needs some serious attention!!!
Never the less, I will likely use Turbo Tax Deluxe in the future.
What's great about it: Has helped maximize deductions
What's not so great: Some cumbersome operation; very frustrating updating process
