TURBO TAX 2016

THE ONLY PROBLEMS I ENCOUNTERED WERE WITH THE NEW REQUIREMENTS FOR DL ID. ALSO, TRYING TO GET A PIN # WAS A HORROR STORY. KEPT TELLING ME MY INFORMATIKON DID NOT MATCH LAST YEAR, ALTHOUGH I INPUTTED THE INFO DIRECTLY FROM LAST YEAR'S FORM????? IRS OR TT? ANYHOW, WOULD NOT EVER QUITE USING TT. IT IS THE BEST. I WAS A TAX PERSON FOR 12 YEARS, AND I KNOW THIS IS THE EASIEST TAX SOFTWARE EVER.
What's great about it: SO EASY TO DO! LOVED THE DETAILS.

turbotax is great. I have used it for years. however I just found out about HR 2029 and how it would reduce my taxes on all my contributions to charity from my required distribution from my IRA. I can't find anything in turbo that allows me this benefit. If I have missed something let me know. I would appreciate your comments/guidance on this. Thanks Gerry

I think I made a mistake on my previous review. The correct number for the bill is HR2029 instead of HR2016 which I may have referred too. See AAII Journal, January issue, page 5.

Insurance against mistakes!

TurboTax gives me the sense of assurance that I'm not missing or overlooking something.
What's great about it: Cuts to the chase so I don't have to interpret the convoluted IRS language.
What's not so great: Wish the step-by-step entries would follow more closely the IRS forms.

I've been using turbo tax for the past three years. It is very user friendly. It walks you through each section easily. Just about anyone could use Turbo Tax.
