Solid Product

I have used for many years, and love the product. State of Ohio section always has some hidden traps that encourage one to deduct self-employed medical insurance premiums that have already been deducted before AGI on the Federal return. And even the State of Ohio instructions are confusing on this issue, but common sense tells one to not deduct these costs twice.
What's great about it: Easy to use and research tax planning items.
What's not so great: State of Ohio return is harder to complete

It would be helpful if info included wording to the effect that RMD is NA if retired, and only drawing out pension.
What's great about it: Format is easily understood

Turbo Tax is super easy, I was able to complete the entire process in about 2 hours.
What's great about it: covers all of the topics i need
What's not so great: filing taxes for 365 days of experience is still complicated

During startups, did not like continually being prompted to register.
After downloading updates, or when there are no updates, there is a long delay with no visual indication that the app is starting (OS/X).
What's great about it: Felt complete
What's not so great: Long delays doing updates and during startup
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

I really like turbo tax. I love how it goes back to prior years. and enters the information automatically. it asked me questions to make sure I fill it out correctly. per last year. Just like it.

somehow program generated an extra tax return and I could not figure out how to delete it...and there is no 800 number to call to get help! so now I have a tax return sitting there causing me to lose a potential tax return I could use.
