much more difficult to make changes to forms, statements etc. Couldnt find a way to change statement on nol, couldnt change amount in estimated payments. In past years have found a way to get around these type of difficulties. This years software is a step backwards.

TurboTax Just Gets Better

I've been a TurboTax user since the days of the DOS version. It was good then and has just gotten better over the past two decades. It takes the work out of doing personal income taxes. There were no glitches this year in the Mac version of the software.
What's great about it: Very Easy User Interface, Easy To Understand, Reduces Work Load
What's not so great: Gets the Indiana state refund amount wrong for the past several years.

It seemed like you asked many more questions this year.
It was more of a challenge to find where some information came from after you entered it 1-2 hours ago.
I feel somewhat uncomfortable understanding many questions.
I may go back to a CPA next year.

Made My Life Easy

I followed the step by step instructions because I was new to Turbo Tax. I have always prepared my tax return using CPA software and thought I was thorough. I was advised about deductions I was not aware of and saved myself money when I got to the bottom line. Would recommend Turbo Tax to anyone wanting to prepare their own return.
What's great about it: Step by step instructions
What's not so great: Did not find any
