Minor problems and concerns

Three areas of concern:
1. Went to file and could not sign into store. Got continuous loading. Was doing at 10 pm so that may have been issue.
2. When verifying state signature, a text message with the 6 digit number was sent. I tried to enter the 6 digit phone number. Did not think about having to 'open' the message. Was a little confusing.
3. Files separately. Wife first then mine. Did not receive same massages with wife filing as mine. Will have to go back and make sure hers was filed. Just frustrating

TurboTax 2015

Software was easy to install, easy to update, easy to run and step through each portion of the tax forms. Needed to use help a few times and each time there was enough clarity to answer the questions that I has.
What's great about it: Easy, thorough

Simple, easy to follow

This program has been used by us for 20 years. Really like the program and the "walk me through" part. It makes sure I remember everything and gets the tax return done in an easy fashion. Also like the electronic filing and the ability to pay right on line (if owed). Like the direct deposit part for any refunds. Would recommend this program to everyone doing their own taxes.
What's not so great: The nickname part stinks!! Most trouble throughout!

I highly recommend TurboTax except for the poor handling of 1099-PATR it is a great product.
Every 1099 must be entered in your tax return whether you need to pay tax on it or not. A missing 1099 will flag your return to be kicked for special attention. The only way TT will allow you to enter your 1099-PATR (my mortgage company coop) is to create a farm business, then enter the 1099-patr and a taxable amount of $0. They use to ask in the 1099 section for a 1099-PATR and would only go to the farming business if it was taxable.
What's great about it: i like that it walks you through your return step by step, carries info needed from last years return, and can autoload
What's not so great: does not handle 1099-patr well.

More difficult to file than previous years

In all prior years I went directly to the forms and worksheets needed. Never a problem
This year, it was EXTREMELY difficult to enter manually. The worksheets didn't provide a quick method to enter all necessary expenses and incomes.
Eventually, after dozens of attempts to enter WHAT I KNEW HAD TO BE ENTERED, I had to resort to going through the guide (many steps unnecessary) to eventually get to the "question" which I could answer and then could enter the data.
I don't want to use the guide.
I want Turbo Tax to make everything available going directly to the required forms without having to go through 100 or more screens of questions.
What's great about it: guide helped
What's not so great: without the guide (which after 11 years experience) not self explanatory
