Delightful Deduction Finder

The list of deduction options was very helpful. If it wasn't for Turbo Tax deduction finder, I would have owed more than $3000! Thanks for the help Turbo Tax!!!

Anyone can do it

I have used Turbo Tax for years because it is easy. All I need to do is gather papers and answer questions.
What's great about it: Easy, all you do is enter numbers and answer questions. There is no need to pay someone to do the entries.
What's not so great: None

yr 2 and still loving it

Just did taxes for the second time using TURBO TAX and it gets easier every year. Just wish I didnt have to pay extra at the end for a State file, should include this in the Deluxe version.
What's great about it: even simpler than yr 1
What's not so great: had to dig a bit for answer on Origination Charge

2015 TurboTax Deluxe Software is Broken

I was stopped 8 times as I attempted to eFile, because the dates of my state residency "added up to more than 365 days". I finally gave up, printed it and am about to mail it. The first day in my state was flagged in red font. The date was identical to dates for my spouse; but were flagged as wrong, and failed during eFile. Both dates were 12/31/2014. I replaced it numerous times, and changed it to 01/01/2015, but still failed during eFile. Your error coding or days-calculation is coded wrong. Regardless, you should permit User to eFile anyway because it did NOT generate an incorrect Sales Tax deduction. Do not publish this Review or photo in Facebook. Thank you.
What's great about it: Used it Happily for 20+ years, now frustrating
What's not so great: Your "T&I Deducts" WS has coding errors; prevent eFiling

Turbo Tax is wonderful. It takes you thru everything step by step, and explains anything you have questions about. I love using it!

Best software I have ever used

This year's return was a little more complicated. With early Retirement, everything was handled and classified efficiently without me having to guess. My Return was higher this year due to Credits I was not aware of. I have used Turbo Tax for about 15 years now, and I have never been let down. I used to use Tax Cut until they had the Y2K problem.
What's great about it: Shows all of your numbers as you proceed, NO hidden surprises
What's not so great: None
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion), I bought or sold investments
