Easy as 1- 2- 3

I have used Turbo Tax for many,many years, it is easy and efficient. I have not had any issues with my taxes (audits) and with one turbo tax program I not only prepare my taxes but also my sons and my mothers. I have talked about the program at work and have gotten at least 20 co-workers using Turbo Tax each year. Very easy, you are walked through line by line and if something doesn't calculate correctly you will be asked questions to ensure the number is correct or needs to be changed. You run an audit check at the end and can fix any errors found at that time. I will continue to buy and use for years to come. E-File both state and federal and in no time it's accepted and refund is only days away...can't ask for anything easier. I have never used a tax preparation company Turbo Tax has been my go to since at least 1993 (or earlier) that I can remember. Nothing compares to the ease, audit, updates, file and saving documents for later reference.
What's great about it: Walks you through each step of the file process and checks for errors. If any found it takes you to the error & corrects
What's not so great: A bit pricey but....it's worth it!

TurboTax is great for my tax prep

I keep my personal books on Quicken. It makes it real easy when it comes to tax time and using TurboTax.
What's great about it: Easy program. Forms I needed were back in Deluxe.

TurboTax gets easier each year I've used it and have saved a bundle not having to pay someone else to do what I can do in two hours.

Tax Program 2015

No opportunity to enter a Identify Protection number that IRS had issued due to previous theft of identify. Turbo tax ignored and did not ask for this as you have done in previous years.
What's great about it: Self Directed.

Great product

What's great about it: Easy to follow.
What's not so great: Difficult to just print your state return. I felt forced to e-file just because it wasn't evident how to print.
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion), I bought or sold investments

So quick and efficient

I've been using TTax for so many years I'm not sure if it's easy for me or would still be easy for a new user. But if you take advantage of the help screens and guided tours, anyone should be able to file an accurate return that maximizes your refund (or minimizes your balance due).
I held back one star because the screens referenced a home settlement statement for a purchased home, but then didn't provide any screens to input the additional deductions, like property taxes charged at closing.
I would also suggest one screen for input of everything that is applicable from the Form 1098 received from the lender. Otherwise it is all broken up in different places and a deduction could be missed.

What's not so great: Poor job of walking through home settlement statement for deductions
