Quick and Painless!

Took most of the pain out of filing a tax return! It was easy and took less than an hour for dinosaurs like us to complete. Thanks TurboTax!

I have been using Turbo Tax for many year and must say the program does keep up with the changes in the tax code and updates whenever needed.

maybe better

Workable, problems with accepting my credit card information and need to purchase by phone. Additionally had trouble understanding what I purchasing regarding filing in for another state; charges once for completing a return then again to file the return. (?)
What's great about it: walk through process was great
What's not so great: saving work when interrupted difficult. should have a pause save button return to filing later.

Not meeting expectations

In previous versions of the program, videos or at least hyperlinks to additional information made it possible to feel confident that I was answering the questions appropriately. Each year I've noticed fewer helpful explanations. As a result, my confidence that I am accurately completing my taxes and getting the proper refund is declining. My circumstances are hardly complicated, so I imagine that others have an even harder time knowing what was missed by answering a question one way vs another. A simple explanation, hyperlinked if you think it overly complicates the screen, would serve to clarify how some of these questions should be answered. I would add that someone should think through all the possible answers and the questions should be worded carefully to avoid any misinterpretation. As an example below, Life Changes has no option for None of the Above.
What's great about it: I trust that the calculations are correct and that most circumstances are accounted for.
What's not so great: There are several questions whose answers don't always fit neatly into the 2 choices that are available.

Easy Peasy

Great software

TurboTax worked great for me, I did some that were wrong because I forgot some interest paperwork. All I had to do was delete the incorrect one and start over. I also did my taxes 6 different ways using married separate, married jointly and so on and I was able to save everyone of them and pick the one that gave me the best refund. Then all I had to do was open the ones I wanted and file them.
This software worked great and was easy for me to use. I highly recommend it for beginners and return users alike.

What's great about it: Easy to use, I was able to do my taxes 6 different ways and save each one to determine which gave me the best refund
What's not so great: Wasn't easy to delete some of the returns I did wrong, but found an easy fix.

Best tax software...period!

TurboTax has been tried and true for me for several years. Doubt I'll ever do it any other way!

Soooooo easy to use!

This was my first time filing using TurboTAX. It was so easy that i will probably be using TurboTAX from now on to file my taxes.
