Fast & Easy

Turbo Tax found deductions I didn't know I could take!
What's great about it: Walked me thru entire return
What's not so great: Had to file 2 state returns which got pricey.
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion), I moved

I really like using this program, and have been using since it was Mac In Tax. The step by step approach is quite good, and the help the program offers is excellent as well.
What's great about it: Excellent instructions and explanations
What's not so great: would not accept my account login

Best Time Yet to File my Taxes!

Overall, TurboTax has made the job of filing taxes quick, even when I have stock sales which can make it somewhat complex. I have been quite pleased not only for this year, but for many years!
What's great about it: The time to file was quick even with stock sales
What's not so great: Would like imports of last years deductions vs. starting again
Pros: I bought or sold investments

overall it worked very well for me. I had earlier used the TurboTax app to figure out what my taxes would be and i was very skeptical.as to whether it was correct. I must say that both programs performed very well. Both totals were n early exact.
What's great about it: easy to use, clear instructions

Some discrepancies

Overall, a nice, easy to use formula. The only "hitch" was when the software said to go to a line that was not included on your 2014 form.
What's great about it: Software easy to follow
What's not so great: Some of the directions did not match IRS form

I have used Turbo Tax since 1994 and couldn't face the IRS nightmare without it.
What's great about it: super flexable
What's not so great: I wish "Find" worked in the forms

What I expected

Turbo Tax is normally really easy to use for me. However, I had some confusion this year with HSA. The main reason is contributions to my HSA had to cease at the end of October because I turned 65. When the question was asked about the 12 mth rule, it was confusing. I couldn't contribute, but I was covered by the employers HD health insurance plan thru 12/31. but I also had Medicare A & B starting in Nov. I pondered on this area for sometime before I proceeded with my taxes.
What's great about it: Been using Turbo Tax for years always satisfied
What's not so great: None
