Another good year with Turbotax

What's great about it: easy to navigate, complete and accurate
What's not so great: sometimes get lost when reviewing for errors - I don't know what to answer and it locks me up

20 Years of TurboTax

After at least 20 years using TurboTax in five different States and going from a very complex return during my working life through a fairly simple retirement; I remain pleased with the efficiency and ease of use found in TurboTax.
What's great about it: Easy to understand, prepare, and file
What's not so great: Too many mouse hops from top of page to next item

Transmittal issues

Tried for two days to efile my Federal and State returns, but was unable to get them through. Finally talked with a very nice lady named Jan in your support center and we tried several attempts to transmit the files. Finally decided maybe we should try sending the Federal and State separately and succeeded in transmitting Federal, but State still not transmitting so have opted to mail the State Return instead.
What's great about it: The tax forms seemed much easier to follow this year and I was able to complete my forms in much less time than previous
What's not so great: The navigation menu was a little difficult to go back to where I wanted. Thought it was easier to find last year.

Been using TurboTax for 6 yrs and always satisfied with it.
The addition this of the entry of drivers licenses "for added security" said it was not necessary this year but could not continue without completing this section. I made and entry error
on a date format and a pop-up telling about the error would not
allow me to put in the right date. Had to close out the session and come back in and that worked to let me make the correct entry.

What's great about it: pretty straight forward and easy to use
What's not so great: foreign tax part difficult to understand and get thru

Do it yourself and save $$$$!

I have used Turbo Tax X 3 years and it has been spot on. I have not been audited by the IRS. My first use was in 2009 . plenty enough time for an audit. I went back to the store front because I didn't have time to do them. Retired now, so back to Turbo Tax. My returns includes a # of forms. Turbo Tax guide you very thoroughly. You will not miss anything. Just gather all of your stuff and get started and save money. The store front tax preparer charge you for every form that's complete. Do yourself a favor and save.
What's great about it: Turbo Tax is Easy to navigate, very thorough. I will never pay another tax preparer. This is my 3rd time using Turbo.
What's not so great: I have not file any cons.

Excellent software

Thorough and logical process with excellent help.
What's great about it: Didn't have a glitch like H&R Block Software did this year
What's not so great: Keeps asking me if I want to upgrade

Awesome Software!

The process was straightforward, simple, and easy. Just needed to enter the pertinent info as I went. Took a while to gather the info, but TurboTax very clearly explained where and how to get the necessary information.
What's great about it: Easy to use, straightforward, with tips and advice if needed
What's not so great: If filing joint, need quite a bit of information from your spouse. Then again, not TurboTax's fault.
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)
