TurboTax Easy

TurboTax is a very simple and logical way to file all the necessary forms for both Federal and State taxes. Broken down into sections TurboTax easily guides a user though the tax filing process. E-Filing is very convenient and time saving.
My only problem using TurboTax was that it did not automatically start the program after loading the CD.

Missed the e-file???

As above. The process seemed pretty straight forward, but somehow in this process I missed the updating of e-file forms, and when I thought it had been filed, IT WAS NOT. I waited for your confirmation, and went back two weeks later, and got to the goal line. I had looked at the print out, and thought it had been filed??
What's great about it: Thank you for making it as easy as you do.
What's not so great: Missed the e-filing update, so I was two weeks behind when I thought it had been filed.

With a little preparation thru the year (Record keeping) It only takes about an hour to do taxes state and Federal...

Easy to use and revise --- except import of "Its Deductible" data. When I had to import Its Deductible data again (due to revised deductions), Turbo Tax forced me to manually delete all charitible deductions data (a lot of entries), and then start over with a "clean" import of "Its Deductible" data.
What's great about it: Easy to use and to revise (except "Its Deductible" imported data).
What's not so great: Confusing purchase options, i.e., web vs. download & cd versions

As painless as possible

TurboTax walked me through the whole process. It asked me about deductions I may have forgotten about and provided easy to understand instructions and explanations. The program offered alternatives and explained the pros and cons in each case. I'm confident that I got my maximum refund.
What's great about it: Prompted me for deductions I may have forgotten
What's not so great: No major cons. Asked about deductions I wasn't eligible for but I could quickly bypass these.

New Retiree and Relocation

We retired this year, sold a home and moved from Kentucky to New Hampshire. Lots going on and to keep track of. Found the Turbotax software to be very helpful and user friendly. We have used it for the past five years.
What's great about it: Easy and Quick
