Still easy to use

Federal still as easy to use as it always has been. Walks me through everything if needed or let's me jump around to where I want to work on. I like how I can look at the overview and see what sections I have worked on and what I've already done. Not sure why I couldn't with my state taxes. Had some miscellaneous income that never came over from the federal. At least I think it didn't, but it's very difficult to tell. There's no overview that I could find. Still like the program overall, but wish state had been easier to use.

Taxes Made Easy

The TurboTax software allowed me to examine every possible deduction. I have a clearer idea of which expenses to track, for ease in preparing next year's tax forms.
I liked the flexibility of not having to complete my annual tax forms all in one sitting.
I'm secure in the numbers I provided, because I have documentation to back up each one.

What's not so great: First update caused a glitch in returning to a form in progress.

Easy to do

Been using turbo tax for at least five years. Simple instructions. Anyone can file their own income tax. No need to go to an accountant.

I've used this program for years and have always liked it. The exception was last year when they took away some of the forms and features, but they fixed that pretty quickly, and this year was the same as years previous to last year. Gets my taxes done pretty quickly, and I'm sure nothing gets left out.

I have been using this software for many years now and can't imagine using a tax professional or manually preparing taxes again. I can afford Turbo Tax and it has found deductions, especially with education expenses, that would have been torturous to read about and compute. The offer of audit protection is reassuring and makes me confident I've prepared taxes correctly.
What's great about it: so easy to use - and more affordable than a tax professional
What's not so great: wish there was a question checklist of deduction scenarios rather than going through each module to find a deduction
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)
