gets worse every year

After several years of using this product - and, i might add, fraudulently indicating I had agreed to purchase it again this year - I find the program less usable than in the past. You can''t leave a page and go back, you have to traverse the maze of pages in a specific order.
if you are listening ---- I don't want to use TurboTax next year. Oh, on the other hand, my bank just said it's available through them for free. That would make it less distasteful if I didn't have to pay for this.
What's great about it: it beats doing it manually - but not by much

Used for many years - never audited

I have used TurboTax to prepare my Federal and State tax returns for more than a decade. I have never been audited and have filed complex returns when I owned a business and simple returns now that I am retired. If you are comfortable using a computer, Turbo Tax is the best way to file your taxes, particularly if you also use Quicken to manage your finances.
What's great about it: Interview Mode and Manual Mode
What's not so great: Descriptions and individual forms could be easier to access

used turbo tax close to 10 years, this year was more confusing than ever. another part what was missing on the deluxe version was investment for little guy that was part of turbo tax previous'

Needs improvement

I found a few instructions poorly written, For example instructions for entering insurance premiums says one thing but doesn't give you the option of using what it says. My Wisconsin State form does not ask for estimated tax payments made in the previous year. The dates that it gives are for 2016, should be 2015. Fortunately I caught it and entered my payments manually.
Trying to print a state form and electronic filing an electronic filing a federal form is confusing.
If you want to print something and push the print button it should print not display a PDF form expecting you to know that that is how to print.
What's great about it: Relatively easy to use.
What's not so great: Some questions are confusing. Print instructions are poor. Printing state form is a problem

I have used Turbo Tax for several years and it almost makes doing the annual tax dance painless. The system is easy to set up and operate and has great help throughout the process.
