Made it easy

It was easy to understand and file. Anyone should be able to get through it in an hour if you have the forms in front of you that you need. Costs less than an accountant but asks the same questions. It cost more than what I see commercials for but I have used it for years and trust it.
What's great about it: Step by step and easyto understand
What's not so great: Cost more than web sites
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Could Be Much Clearer

I have used Turbo Tax for a number of years and will probably use it again unless I can find something better. The program can be exceptionally frustrating, especially when 1) one tries to get a head start and enter initial items before all of the necessary forms have been received from banks, etc. and 2) it is very difficult to find specific information on the more obscure parts of the forms to review before completing them. The online forum is worse than useless as one spends inordinate time looking for topics only to discover 1) there is no answer on the forum; 2), the query you submit uses the wrong words; or 3) the information posted is badly out of date. Despite a number of tries, I found no worthwhile information on the online forum this year, nothing that answered my questions or helped speed the process of completing the tax forms!
What's great about it: comprehensive, covers most issues
What's not so great: difficult to find specific items in the forms or on the forum

I Trust Turbo Tax

Have used turbo tax now for a number of years. I personally have no problem using the program. It was easy to understand .
What's great about it: easy to understand, walked me through the whole process

Wasting my Time!

What I disliked the most relates to the importing of interest and dividends from various brokers, etc. I put my own information in, and need to click on the "I'll enter my information". Then I want to enter a second dividend, and need to click on the "I'll enter my information" again, and then again for a third time. If I close Turbotax, then later open it, and need to enter more dividends, all this starts again.
Can't you just ask if I want to enter all mt dividends / interest by myself ONCE?
What's great about it: Liked 99% of turbotax
What's not so great: Disliked importing interest / dividends

Had an issue with the IRS web page to get my Tax filing numbers. Not your problem though.

I have used TurboTax from the get-go. Great program and easy. Never any issues returned from the IRS. And....thanks for rectifying last year's mistake. You made it right!

Itemize or not to itemize

For the last two years I itemized my deductions, and was told at the end of itemizing that the standard deduction would be the best for me. I suspected this at the start, so it would have been better for me, and quicker to just take the standard deduction.
A shorter simpler program would be an advantage for me and my current final situation

What's great about it: At the beginning of the return you should be allowed to choose the option to itemize, or not itemized
