2014 Data transfer

I like the program overall but it would not pull 2014 return data even though I used Turbo Tav last year and years before that.
What's great about it: Generally the software does whatn it is supposed to do.
What's not so great: The data would not transfer from 2014 return.

easy tax

I enjoy using turbo tax. I have tried others but come back to Turbo Tax. I like the additional help that is available, especially since some things are not quite self explanatory. It would be nice if there was an index. So you don't have to go through the whole tax form to figure out where something goes.
What's great about it: I like that there are steps by steps to guide you through
What's not so great: some areas are not quite understandable or I should say need to be more explicit as to what it means

I made several estimates to see the range of refund/tax due, but when I went to put in final numbers through the normal flow of input (removing a couple of items), they didn't always flow through, and I had to delve into individual forms to correct. New users and non-experienced users would have trouble with this, and I was a little concerned I would not get them all corrected.
What's great about it: easy to complete forms if you have all the information
What's not so great: you have to be careful if you make changes to verify they take

Turbo Tax gives me the confidence to do my taxes on my own without going to an expensive tax consultant.
What's great about it: loved the help walking through to collect all required information
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

I encounterd problems with updating software on Windows 10 and could not uninstall to try again. I had to go to a Windows 7 computer to finish.
What's great about it: easy and straight forward to enter data
What's not so great: keeps asking about head of household if spouse over 65

I am a dinosaur in all things tech. I would have appreciated some instruction to help me get to the point of being able to enter information. I would wait for something to happen. When nothing did, I'd try to guess what would be needed on my part to continue the process, always somewhat fearful that I'd mess up everything. Like when the TurboTax symbol appeared at the bottom of the screen. I waited and waited till I finally clicked on the TT symbol. Would it have been a problem to simply tell me to do that rather than my having to guess?
Once I got in, everything was fine. It was like not knowing the combination to let me open my locker. Once the door opened all was well.
What's great about it: guided progression very smooth
What's not so great: no explanation to aid the initial steps from inserting the disc to actually filling in information
