TTax rocks!!

Been using since late 80's and it gets better virtually every year. 2015 version is comprehensive, easy to understand and use, excellent Tools and references. This was the best version for navigating around forms, schedules, etc. Had the whole thing done (Itemized deductions and charitable contributions...) in 5 hours, including review & proofing with spouse and efiling.
What's great about it: easy to use, "Step-by-Step" very easy to understand and follow
What's not so great: a bit pricier than competitors
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion), I bought or sold investments

TurboTax asked all the right questions to maximize my refund.
What's great about it: Very specific scenarios and questions
What's not so great: Taxes take a lot of work no matter how you do them.
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion), I had a baby

I love Turbo Tax

I file using Turbo Tax every year. It's fast, easy, and reliable. I do not have to leave my home, and you still have to gather your documents if you use a CPA!
What's great about it: It's very quick and easy
What's not so great: Not as personal as using a human tax preparer

First Time Filing Our Taxes

Usually my husband files our taxes. For years we used a CPA, then he decided to do his own using Turbo Tax which he used for several years. This year he is fighting an illness and just not up to the task so I decided to try it. I started out with some reservations about how well I would do, but on the whole, I think it put me more in touch with our financial situation. I recommend Turbo Tax.
What's great about it: Lots of info. Ability to re-do steps.
What's not so great: Took forever to find out where to put in a cash liquidation distribution. I had to go to the forum to find out.
