This year was difficult

Turbo Tax, as always is a lifesaver. Easier this year in one sense, that it found all deductions. Lot of things like medical not deductible because we are not sick. When I updated to Windows 10, five previous years of Turbo Tax are gone. Had to start all over which was a pain.
What's great about it: Turbo tax is always good to use.
What's not so great: This year I could not locate previous saved files and had to start all over including verification.

Easy

It was fast and easy to do a fairly simple return with only W2 income and tuition and an IRA contribution for deductions. It seems like it might be confusing for a more difficult return.

I have used Intuit for a lot of years and this is the easiest one to date.
What's great about it: The help section was really easy to use
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Surprise Fee

I love Turbo Tax! I find it delightfully easy to use. The ease of transferring information from federal to state is great.
I have problems, however, with the "Free State" information. It is not clear that you still have to pay a fee to file the state return. The downloading of the state form is free, but there is a charge to FILE the return.
I wish this was made more clear in all the advertising and details.

84 years old, and I've been using Turbo Tax programs for years. I have owned my own, self-employed businesses since 1996, when I retired, and cannot count the many $$$s Turbo Tax has saved me! Wouldn't do without it! ! Have full confidence in reliability of programs for both State and Federal. Auto-renewed all of that tine. Simple! Complete! Satisfying!
