Snafu this yr, but - still makes life a bit easier

Didn't use the state tax return feature this year due to an issue I couldn't resolve. Completed these manually...
What's great about it: Convenient
What's not so great: software changed my tax amount when I tried to file

Overall, easy to follow

Filing my taxes was relatively easy. It took longer to find all the paperwork than it took to input the data.
The reason why I am giving 3 stars is because I bought the software that included a free state. However, at no point was the free state option recognized. Now I have to contact Intuit in order to avoid getting double charged.
What's great about it: Helpful explanations for any extra questions that I had.
What's not so great: Software does not recognize state payment

Turbo Tax Experiences

I have been using TurboTax for many years and have been very pleased with its performance. I really like the format of inputting data.
What's great about it: Easy to complete
What's not so great: Would not allow some of last year's information

What's great about it: easy to use and helpful guide. Able to get back to pages to check information and then resume moving forward -- better
What's not so great: Payment information very small and difficult to manipulate on Surface. had to use mouse as finger/pen could not access

The input process is easy to use and you are guided through the process. It is sometimes difficult to use the help feature.
What's great about it: Well thought out and it guides you through in a step by step process
What's not so great: It can be difficult to move from one area of the tax return to another

Filing amended return

It says I have to mail in an amended return, yet I can't get past a preview page. It says to preview. I do, and it is marked all over the document that this is not a copy to be filed. I can't get past that section. Guess I will have to get a form from the post office and figure it out myself. Very disappointed in inability to create and file an amended return.
What's great about it: Calculated the change nicely and quickly.
What's not so great: Confusing; can't print out.
