Saved an Audit!

Again for the fifth year TurboTax has been the easiest program to use for our taxes. Dealt with humans at stores and wonder why they keep their screen dark...maybe they are using the same programs we can...just charging you for their time! As long as TurboTax is offered I will continue to use it!
What's great about it: Checks and asked the same questions the tax people do!

Have loved TurboTax for years

I just love TurboTax. I tried a different program one year and returned to TurboTax the following year. have used it for over 15 years. It will either walk me through every possible income or deduction. Or I can select the specific area and line item to "tweek" the information.
What's great about it: information transfers over each year; walks me through possible deductions; so easy - so thorough!!
What's not so great: none

Very thorough

Overall it was great to go through each step and the last two years I have used Turbo Tax I have learned more about how our government is in need of reform when it comes to taxation.

Do your own taxes

We have Turbo Tax Deluxe, and it is great! We were able to go step by step through everything, and I'm confident we got the most money possible.
What's great about it: I like how it reviews areas and tells you what forms you need
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

1099-R import problems

When running smart check feature, software got hung up on needing an entry in box 9a of 1099-R when in fact this box in not applicable to retirement distributions.
The fix was to delete the imported 1099-R and re-enter the information manually.
Overall, still satisfied with the product.
What's great about it: Easy to use.
What's not so great: Still contains some bugs.

Easiest tax program to use

Highly recommend TurboTax. It is very detailed and easy to use. Covers all tax situations. Saves a ton of money instead of paying someone to do my taxes.
What's great about it: Easy to understand and very detailed
What's not so great: Ran across one question that took me a while to find an answer
