Saved the Bacon!

TT asks me the right questions in simple language and has worksheets and explanations that confirms my understanding. TT checks & cross-checks items and asks for my input.
Ease of switching from interview to forms has improved. I can access base documents and source worksheets much more easily.
I'm so happy that TT does all the arithmetic & passing corrections to all the various forms I used to do with pencil. (b4 TT!) Whoever developed TT should get a Nobel Peace Prize for Marriage Serenity!
What's great about it: Ease of information flow from last year to this year
What's not so great: The idiocracy of the Federal Tax system

Turbo Tax Program

I have used Turbo Tax for a long time. I am disappointed that Turbo Tax will not support my computer for 2016 tax year. There should be alternatives for such issues versus having to upgrade my computer system.

What's great about it: walk trhu of all aspects
What's not so great: have to look at things that dont appy to me

I was worried about how to reflect changes in family status however Turbo Tax made it so much easier to address.
What's great about it: Much easier to understand than the IRS!

Having to purchase the disk and then having to pay the fees adds up.
What's not so great: Expensive
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

getting help is very user unfriendly

Going back to sections to edit or change entries is not easy. Turbo tax prompts are missing to retrace steps and return to previous places where you need to modify input.
Fixing errors at the end goes in circles. First you are told to fix errors and at the same time to see options under file because you have made changes to your return. This leads to much confusion.
What's great about it: using turbo tax does save time
What's not so great: Getting help is very user unfriendly
Pros: I bought or sold investments
